  1. “My inspiration comes from simply being alive. Life is an amazingly beautiful thing to be a part of. I hope you can see that in my art.”As a child Jeff was introduced to drawing and working in pastels. That was all that was needed to start his passionate obsession with learning anything and everything about the masters of art. Painting in oils came soon thereafter; the subject matter being, DaVince, Michael Angelo, Rubens, Caravaggio, Albriecht Durer. He would reproduce 100s of their paintings and drawings just to get technical insight of the past, then, paint using their styles, scenes and subject matter from his own life. After a 6th grade teacher entered one of Jeff’s paintings into a local art competition (without him knowing), and winning first place, he realized this was his calling. He continued to enter 15 more art competitions and winning them all – first place. Now, loving everything about the art filled life, Jeff would eat, sleep, and breathe art, as he does to this day; Wandering from lofty & comical to the classical humanistic realism of the masters. After college Jeff found that his art could afford him the luxury of travel. Every country or city just inspired him more. And even when he is not traveling, his productivity remains the same. Jeff makes sure that all of those around him know that he thanks God for the joy of every minute painting, and encourages them to do the same. While painting lofty or fun paintings, you can obviously see the classical self-training in his portraits, along with the composition.Always wanting to please or intrigue the viewer, landscapes, seascapes, or classical portraits all receives Jeff’s true love of painting them. Most of all, he helps the viewers see and feel that in his art.
